Tailor-made Tours - Northern Spain
Although must riders will choose one of our standard supported tours, others may decide that they would like to personalise their tour. They may like to set their own distances and number of "rest" days. Maybe they have already done a tour with us in the area and would like to return, but with a different perspective.
Over the years we have built up a network of routes and hotels covering an area which stretches from Bilbao in the Basque Country, right through Cantabria as far as Ribadesella in Asturias, around 110 miles away. From the coast, our tours reach around 50 miles inland. That adds up to almost 6000 square miles of the best cycling to be had anywhere in Europe. We have designed tours of all lengths for cyclists of all abilities. Just contact us with your requirements, and we will come up with a tour for you.
Arrival / departure points are Santander or Bilbao, both linked by sea to the United Kingdom, and also by air to many international destinations.
Terrain is varied in Northern Spain. It is rarely flat, and generally speaking, the more you move inland, the hillier it gets until you reach the meseta. Tailor-made tours may include a rider vehicle transfer so you actually gain height the easy way before descending back towards the coast.
Luggage can either be carried by yourself, or we can budget luggage transfers
into the tour for you so you only carry what you need for each day. You choose
the start date and the end date.
